Yurie Mitsuhashi, violin

Yurie started her violin studies at age 3 in Tokyo, Japan. She continued her studies at the Lucy Moses School in Kaufman Music Center. She completed her bachelor's degree at the Juilliard School, where she was the recipient of the Samuel Gardener Prize in violin, and received her master's degree at the Yale School of Music under the tutelage of Prof. Hyo Kang.

She is currently active as a teacher and performer in the NY, New Haven, and Boston areas. This past summer, she served as teaching artist for the Morse Summer Music Academy at Yale University, where she worked with young musicians from New Haven Public Schools. She also returned to NYC as a full time faculty member for the Kaufman Center Summer String Fest, where she taught alongside the Harlem String Quartet and Rob Kapilow. She frequently visits Boston to perform and record for soundtracks for various video games, the most notable being for a game from the "Final Fantasy" media franchise.
