Oved Rico, horn

Born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, Oved is currently pursuing a Masters of Musical Arts at the Yale School of Music studying under William Purvis. He has performed with multiple ensembles including the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony, and Chelsea Symphony Orchestra. He was also the hornist on the 2nd National Tour of Anastasia the Musical performing in major cities including Austin, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, and Santa Barbara. Oved was also named a finalist in the 2023 Sphinx Orchestral Partners Association Excerpt Competition receiving the Most Outstanding Instrumentalist award in the Horn Category. Oved is also a founding member of the award winning quintet ZaRiah. Oved received a Bachelors of Music from Oberlin Conservatory studying under Jeff Scott and Roland Pandolfi and a Masters of Music from the Yale School of Music.
