Mayor's Neighborhood Cultural Vitality Grant Program
We are very happy to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the Mayor's Neighborhood Cultural Vitality Grant Program! We are grateful to have our mission recognized and supported by the City of New Haven. This funding will help us to continue to deepen our engagement with New Haven Public School youth and families. Winners of our annual student concerto competition will perform with the orchestra and we will have a side-by-side performance that features select elementary and middle school age music students. 2nd Annual Young Artists Solo Competition: Call for Submissions
Open to New Haven Public School High School Students (Grades 9-12) who play orchestral Woodwind, Brass and String instruments. Winners will perform a selected concerto movement with the New Haven Chamber Orchestra at the Spring Concert, May 12th at 2:00pm at Fair Haven School.

NHCO Spring Concert 2014 update
Our program will include: von Suppe's Overture to Poet and Peasant; Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor, Benjamin Hoffman, violin; Dvorak's Symphony No. 8. Again, children will be given a coloring book related to music. We hope to see you there! |
NHCO Spring Concert 2014
Come and enjoy the New Haven Chamber Orchestra's Spring Concert on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 4:00 PM! Our concert venue is the Fair Haven School Auditorium, located at 164 Grand Avenue in New Haven. Free parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to the school (shared with the Public Library). This is a free and family friendly concert. Children will be given a coloring book related to music. We hope to see you there! |

WInter Concert - free admission and free children's book!
Next Saturday, March 1, at 2 PM, we will perform an eclectic and family friendly program including Ravel’s Pavane, Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite, Weber’s Freischütz Overture, Rossini’s Wilhelm Tell Overture, and Humperdinck’s Dance of the Witches from his Opera Hänsel and Gretel – Families will receive a free Hänsel and Gretel children's book!
